Indigo Interiors Workshop – 3 indigo tie dye techniques – 3 new cushions for your home
What
Indio dying dates back to 3300 BC. Today we know it as the dye for blue jeans, but in ancient times it was associated with political power and religious ritual.
CHAI studio makes available natural, plant based indigo dye for the ongoing indigo dye workshops.
This workshop allows participants to explore a variety of indigo tie dye techniques (folding, banding, wrapping etc.).
Participants will get 3 cotton cushion covers (22X22”), plus all the materials for tie dyeing. CHAI studio staffs will get demonstrate 3 different techniques.
Participants have the option of using any or all of the techniques to create their own cushion covers. Additional blank covers are available for purchase as well as feather/down inserts.
When

Workshop includes background on the origin and history of indigo. Demonstrations of various techniques and knowledgable staff available for one to one assistance.

Details
All materials will be provided for this workshop at the cost of $108.
Materials include 3 cushion covers, 1pair of gloves, materials for folding, banding, wrapping and access to indigo dye.
Participants are encouraged to wear dark clothes or bring and apron. Additional blank cushion covers will be available for sale for those wanting to explore more dye options.
